Coober Pedy
Yesterday morning we woke up and headed to Coober Pedy. Once we arrived, we put the caravan up and went to the opal mines for a tour. The tour guides name was Paul and be was very funny. He hid two coloured opals and some potch. (White opal that isn't worth very much) There were six kids all together and Cejae found both of the coloured opals! We also found lots of potch. The man also let us go on the chair lift.
At the end of the tour we were allowed to sell the potch that we found. Cejae and I put some of the smaller pieces into one of the jars we bought at gemtree. The lady said that she would buy them for six dollars and then lollipop. It wasn't very much so we asked if we could swap it for a small coloured uncut coloured opal and she said yes. Paul also gave Mum a free opal to turn into a ring.
We were allowed to keep the opals that Cejae found as well.
Bottom - the opal Mum got for free
Then we had a look at some of the other opal mines but the first one was definitely the best.
Next we went to buy some dinner.
Then, we went to see the sunset from a big hill before going to bed.
