Broken Hill!

At six this morning, we set off on our trip to Birdsville. Instead of taking our beloved camper van, we took our camper trailer, which is better for off road. This trip, we are going with Russell and Stephanie, to Broken Hill, Cameron Corner, Birdsville, Marree, and Flinders Ranges. Today we headed to Broken Hill, which is a little country town to the west of NSW. It was a five hour drive, and we arrived in Broken Hill at 11:30. It was about 25°, which isn’t really hot, but compared to Adelaide, it was boiling! I decided to go for a swim in the pool, which was freezing!

Once we finished at the pool, we headed up to the Line of Lode Miner’s Memorial. We had a look at all the old mining stuff, and the memorial.

There was also a big chair that Cejae and I sat on. It was so big, we could barely get up!

After this, we went to Bell’s, which is an old fashioned milk bar. It was really cool, and I had a waffle and a chocolate milk shake.

Once everyone had finished, we drove back to the caravan park and got ready to go out for dinner. We went to the Broken Hill Pub, which we’ve been to a few times already on past trips. We all had dinner, the adults had a few drinks. 😜

Tomorrow, we’ll being heading from Broken Hill to Cameron Corner, which is the corner where the borders of New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia, which will be pretty cool. It is a five hour drive, and we’ll being doing 479kms. Stay tuned for an update tomorrow!
